O-ring Seals
- All pressure containing parts are sealed with FKM or PTFE O-rings to ensure positive sealing under all operating conditions, eliminating leakage and maintenance problems

- The ductile iron crossheads are designed with special machine lube channels for maximum lubrication and wear resistance
Wrist Pin Needle Bearings
- Steel wrist pins are free of yellow metals and are designed to last a lifetime
- Large roller steel needle bearings provide long life under high rod load applications and will not need to be replaced under normal operating conditions
- Superior wrist pin lubrication is assured under all load conditions
Piston Rod Seals
- Self-Adjusting Piston Rod Seals provide maximum sealing and minimum friction
- Loaded glass filled PTFE seals maintain constant sealing pressure around the piston rods, preventing crankcase oil contamination and cylinder blow-by
Piston Rings
- Special pressure assisted piston ring design features a chamber that ensures pressure behind the ring to provide maximum sealing efficiency with minimal friction wear
- Constructed of self-lubricating PTFE for positive sealing
- Design results in peak performance and extended compressor service life
Valves
- Constructed of self-lubricating PEEK material, Blackmer valve plates provide superior sealing characteristics, high efficiency and durability
- PEEK materials provide extended life due to low mass and self-lubricating qualities of the PEEK material, because the slight give of a plastic versus metal plate allows it to survive more abuse and provide better sealing throughout the life of the valve
- High-efficiency valves move more gas volume with each piston stroke and provide greater strength, quieter operation, and longer life
- Valves are specifically designed for non-lubricated gas applications
- Valves seat more positively due to precisely engineered clearances, spring tension, and a special finish
- Optional stainless-steel valves also available on all models
Single-Distance Piece
- Single-distance piece (isolation chamber) is available and allows for precise leakage control and minimizes product contamination providing double seal control
- The single-distance piece controls contamination of the compressed gas from crankcase lubricant
- The isolation chamber may be independently purged, pressurized or vented for maximum containment and safety from toxic or hazardous gases
S3R Oil Control Seal
- Delivers enhanced oil control and even greater leakage control by keeping oil in the crankcase, making this a true oil-free gas compressor
- Available on 600 & 900 Series models of NG Compressors
Additional Features
- Special Epoxy Coating
- Interior of the crankcase is coated with a specially formulated epoxy coating, providing an added layer of protection
- No Yellow Metal
- No brass or copper is present in the gas compressor, keeping the compressor safe from the corrosive nature of some gases
- One-Piece Piston
- Ductile iron pistons are connected to the rod with a single positive locking nut
- Stronger and simpler than multi-piece designs
